Inclusion criteria: Patients with a confirmed diagnosis of Diabetes Mellitus (Type 1 or Type 2) based on medical records or physician diagnosis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of autoimmune diseases associated with neuropathy

Comparison of NMDA receptor expression in peripheral nerve tissue between painful diabetic neuropathy (PDN) and non-painful diabetic neuropathy (NPDN) patients.Timepoint: single point sample collection, and there is no time point
