Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients giving informed written consent for participation in the study 2.Patients belonging to ASA class I II . 3.Age of the patient between 18-65years. 4.BMI of the patient between 18.5-29.9kg/m2. 5. All patients undergoing hip fracture surgeries, including dynamic hip screw fixation, proximal femur nailing, and hemiarthroplasty. 6. All patient undergoing hip surgeries of duration more than 1 hour and lasting less than 3 hour .

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with infections at the block site, coagulopathy, bleeding disorder. 2.Contraindications/ hypersensitivity to local anaesthetics, 3.Patient with H/O CVA( cerebrovascular accident ) ,cardiac disease, diabetic neuropathy 4.Patient with H/O any spine pathology or neurological deficits in the lower limb

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Compare Duration of Analgesia in between PENG ( Pericapsular Nerve Group Block ) and SIFI ( Suprainguinal Fascia Illiaca block ) in Patient undergoing Hip SurgeriesTimepoint: Compare the Duration of Analgesia defined as the time in ( minutes) from administering the block to first requirement of rescue analgesia at VAS greater than 4

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To compare ease of (EOSP)positioning for spinal anaesthesia in between pericapsular nerve block (PENG) block & supra inguinal fascia iliaca (SIFI )block 2.To assess visual analogue score (VAS) for 24 hours at rest. 3.To compare total rescue analgesia consumption over 24 hours. 4.To compare quadriceps muscle strength grades between the groups receiving the pericapsular nerve block (PENG) versus the suprainguinal fascia iliaca (SIFI )block at 24 & 48 hours post-surgery 5. To compare weight-bearing capacity at 24 & 48 hours post surgery. Timepoint: 1. VAS score at 1 hour ,2 hour ,4 hour ,8 hour ,12 hour ,24 hour 2.Total rescue analgesia over 24 hour 3.Compare the Quadriceps Muscle Strength assessed at 24 hour & 48 hour post surgery 4.Weight bearing capacity will be assessed at 24 hour & 48 hour post surgery
