Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Histologically or cytologically confirmed diagnosis of advanced cancer (Stage III and IV) at the time of enrolment. 2.Admitted to the inpatient wards or attending the outpatient department of the Department of Palliative Medicine, JLNMC, Ajmer. 3.Patients willing to participate and provide written informed consent. 4.Ability to understand and respond to questionnaires in Hindi or English.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Known primary sleep disorders other than insomnia (obstructive sleep apnoea, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, or circadian rhythm disorders). 2.Severe cognitive impairment, active delirium, or dementia precluding meaningful questionnaire responses. 3.Insomnia clearly predating the cancer diagnosis with documented chronic primary insomnia disorder unrelated to the malignancy. 4.Refusal to provide written informed consent. 5.Patients unable to communicate effectively due to language or comprehension barriers
