Intervention1: Yoga: A yoga module, validated by experienced Yoga therapists, comprising breathing exercises and mindfulness meditation, will be delivered in a short session of approximately 15-20 min

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Adults-18-45 years 2.Patients scheduled to undergo dental extraction under local anaesthesia. 3.Patients with moderate-to-high dental anxiety. 4.Modified Dental Anxiety Scale (MDAS ) score of 11 and above before the procedure. 5.Patients who consent to the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients who practice regular yoga or are in ongoing CBT 2.Patients with uncontrolled systemic illnesses 3.Patient with a history of severe psychiatric illness 4.Patients with severe Dentofacial pain 5.Contraindications to yoga/breathing exercises 6.Patients on medications such as Opioid pain medications, corticosteroids, and Beta-blockers

MeasureTime frame
Change in Dental anxiety levels before and after the intervention will be assessed using the validated MDAS before the dental extraction procedureTimepoint: Immediately after intervention

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Pulse & Blood Pressure (BP) will be evaluated using a digital Blood Pressure monitorTimepoint: immediately after intervention;Respiratory rate will be evaluated by direct observation of the patient s chest & abdominal movements & counting the number of breaths over one full minute while the patient is at rest.Timepoint: immediately after interventions;Peripheral oxygen saturation will be evaluated by a pulse oximeter deviceTimepoint: immediately after interventions
