Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Mean Expired tidal volume (VTE) in neutral and head-rotated positions. Timepoint: During face mask ventilation immediately after induction of general anesthesia, we analyse 12 breaths. We will take our first reading at 0 seconds, 2nd reading is at 5th second, then successive 10 readings at 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th, 50th, 55th, 60th seconds respectively. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Incidence of airway obstruction during face mask ventilation.Timepoint: During face mask ventilation immediately after induction of general anesthesia, we analyse 12 breaths. We will take our first reading at 0 seconds, 2nd reading is at 5th second, then successive 10 readings at 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th, 50th, 55th, 60th seconds respectively to identify the incidence of airway obstruction. | — |
