Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with borderline space discrepancy involving mild to moderate crowding (5-8mm) or protrusion 2. Age group: 14 -28 yrs 3. All permanent teeth till 2nd molar should be present 4. All 3rd molar (if present) extracted at the beginning of treatment 5. Healthy periodontium 6. Acceptable quality of scans (Voxel sizes 0.125-0.2 mm, involving anatomical structures of interest) 7. Patients with consent for CBCT imaging.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with severe crowding (greater than 8mm) or maximum space discrepancy 2. Any previous history of orthodontic treatment. 3. Severe skeletal discrepancy requiring orthognathic surgery. 4. Patient not indicated for surgical procedures like extraction or miniscrew insertion (Hemophilia, Bleeding or clotting disorders) 5. Pregnancy that may cause safety problem during scan

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate amount of treatment changes after total arch distalization utilising anchorage from Infra- Zygomatic Crest and Buccal Shelf Miniscrew Implant in borderline space discrepancy cases.Timepoint: Pre-treatment (T1) and post-treatment (T2)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To report success rate of Extra-Alveolar Mini Screw Insertion.Timepoint: During treatment
