Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: -All patients undergoing total thyroidectomy, hemithyroidectomy, for benign and malignant thyroid diseases. - Patients undergoing prophylactic or therapeutic neck dissection with total thyroidectomy.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Previous neck surgery History of radiation therapy to the neck Severe medical comorbidities Patients with thyroid tumors presenting with vocal cord palsy
