Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: patients aged 50 years and above diagnosed with visually significant cataract(any type) scheduled for routine cataract surgery have a normal dilated fundus examination(as assessed by an experienced ophthalmologist)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: known or previously diagnosed retinal/macular pathology dense cataract precluding adequate OCT imaging history of prior intraocular surgery poor fixation or inability to cooperate for OCT
