Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults more than 18years scheduled for elective surgery of either sex belonging to ASA Grade I or Grade II, Patients requiring general anaesthesia or neuraxial blocks under sedation or subarachnoid block or regional anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient refusal or not giving consent,Prior gastrectomy or upper GI surgery altering anatomy, Open abdominal wounds, Pregnancy,Severe ascites or ileus obscuring antral view
