Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Poor to fair oral hygiene status 2. No professional oral hygiene therapy in the past 3 months 3. Written parental/guardian consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Systemic illness or immunocompromised state 2. Acute oral infection or abscess 3. Antibiotic / anti-inflammatory drug use in the past 4 weeks 4. Ongoing orthodontic treatment 5. Use of medicated mouthrinses (e.g., CHX) in the past 4 weeks 6. Salivary gland disorders or xerostomia

Improvement in oral hygiene will lead to a measurable reduction in salivary adrenomedullin levels, thereby supporting its role as a biomarker for monitoring oral inflammation and the effectiveness of preventive dental care in children.Timepoint: Assessment will be done after 14 days of intervention.
