Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.18 years or older. 2.Phakic eyes scheduled for Pars plana vitrectomy Surgery for Macular hole, Epiretinal membrane, Total retinal detachment(TRD), Combined retinal detachment(CRD), Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment(RRD) and Vitreous haemorrhage(VH). 3.Patients willing to give consent for the study. 4.Patient with good fixation in either eye for capturing good OCT Image. 5.Media clarity sufficient to capture good quality OCT images.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Pars plana vitrectomy combined with cataract extraction/Buckling surgery/intravitreal steroids. 2.History of ocular trauma. 3.History of Uveitis 4.History of radiation exposure. 5.Past history of intravitreal steroids. 6.History of oral corticosteroid use. 7.Inability to cooperate for examinations. 8.Subluxated lens. 9.Unusual post operative inflammation (More than 3+cells/ posterior synechiae). 10.Patient requiring additional intraocular injection/surgery in same eye within the next 3 months(study period)

MeasureTime frame
To assess the changes in lens parameters (lens thickness, Posterior Capsular integrity, nuclear density, posterior subcapsular density) with ASOCT following PPV.Timepoint: At preop and followup on 1week,1month and 3 month Postop.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the factors predisposing to early cataract progression following PPV. Timepoint: At the time of surgery
