Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Adult patients suffering from depressive episode. 2 Age between 18 to 35 years. 3 Both sexes. 4 Patients willing to take homoeopathic treatment. 5 Patients giving informed consent for participation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Cases requiring immediate surgical intervention or life support. 2 Patients suffering from uncontrolled systemic illness or life-threatening infection. 3 Patients unwilling to participate or not giving consent. 4 Patients unable to read patient information sheet. 5 Diagnosed unstable psychiatric illness or organ failure. 6 Pregnant and lactating women. 7 Substance abuse or dependence. 8 Immunocompromised patients. 9 Patients taking homoeopathic treatment for chronic disease within last 6 months.

Change in severity of depressive symptoms measured by Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS-17) after individualized homoeopathic treatment.Timepoint: Baseline and every 2 weeks up to 6 months
