Intervention1: Trichloroacetic acid application: A thin layer of 90 percent Trichloroacetic acid will be topically applied with cotton swabs carefully on the warts after covering the surrounding norm

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients more than 18 years of age who are clinically diagnosed with verruca vulgaris involving less than 0.5% of body surface area (BSA)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Facial, flexural or mucosal location 2. Treatment of verruca in the past 3 months 3. Pregnant or lactating women 4. History of keloids

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome of the study will be the comparative efficacy of 90 percent TCA versus 80 percent phenol in achieving complete clearance of verruca vulgaris. Timepoint: The outcome will be assessed at 10,20,30,40,50 and 60 days form start of treatment

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary outcomes will be the comparison of side effect profile & recurrence rate of the two modalities of treatmentTimepoint: The outcomes will be assessed at 10,20,30,40,50,60 days & at 120 days
