Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients under the category of ASA-I &II( American Society of Anesthesiologists - Physical Status) 2.Impacted lower third molar teeth which are indicated for extraction { Pell and Gregory (1933) classification class II } . Assessed by OPG/CBCT and all the cases will be done by one qualified and experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeon. 3.Patients who are willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Medically compromised patients. 2.Pregnant or Breast feeding women 3.Chronic smokers. 4.Patient with local conditions such as presence of pericoronitis, odontogenic cysts and tumours. 5.Patients who refused to participate in the study.

1. Patient acceptance & satisfaction- assessed using a structured patient questionnare. 2. Analgesic consumption- Total number of rescue analgesic tablets consumed postoperatively. 3. Incidence of Adverse effects- Any local or systemic effects related to Photobiomodulation therapy measured throughout post operative follow up periodTimepoint: up to 4 weeks
