Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age: 18-65 years scheduled for elective transnasal transsphenoidal pituitary surgery under general anesthesia ASA physical status: I-II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with known hypersensitivity to Sugammadex or Neostigmine 2. Patients with severe hepatic impairment 3. Patients with neuromuscular disorders 4. Patients not giving their consent

Time in minutes from administration of reversal agentto recovery of TOF ratio more than equal 0.9 assessed using neuromuscular monitoringTimepoint: From administration of reversal agent upto attainment of TOF ratio more than equal 0.9

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Time metrics for extubation include eye opening, following verbal commands, & head lift duration exceeding 5 seconds. Time to achieve modified Aldrete score more than equal 9. Monitoring for postoperative complications encompasses nausea, vomiting, bradycardia, & hypotension. Haemodynamic changes including heart rate,Systolic blood pressure, diastolic bp,and mean arterial pressure are recorded across multiple time points: baseline T0, 5 minutes post-induction T1, immediately after surgery T2, TOF count 2 T3, reversal administration T4, & intervals of 2, 5, 10, 15, & 30 minutes & 2, 6 hours post-extubation T5-T11 Timepoint: Time metrics for extubation measured in minutes. Time to reach Aldrete score more than equal 9 is measured in minutes. Monitoring for postoperative complications are measured from intraoperative period up to 6 hours post extubation. Haemodynamic changes are recorded at baseline T0,5 minutes post-induction T1, immediately after surgery T2, TOF count 2 T3, reversal administration T4, & intervals of 2,5,10,15,&30 minutes & 2, 6 hours post-extubation T5-T11
