Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosed with katigraha low back ache based on Ayurvedic and modern clinical criteria for lumbar spondylosis Subjects who are fit for rukshapinda sweda Subjects with healed spinal injury if any Chronicity of symptoms: minimum 3 months maximum 5 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects who were having low backache due to any infection cancerous congenital viscerogenic or vascular causes Subjects with traumatic spinal injury congenital deformities, or systemic illnesses eg rheumatoid arthritis malignancy Subjects with a recent history of trauma (abhighata janya katigraha). Low backache caused by any treatment for other ailments iatrogenic Post-surgical backache History of chronic UTI Contraindicated for swedana Pregnant or lactating women Patients on concurrent therapies that may interfere with outcomes Patient associated with any other systemic disorder
