Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Subjects clinically diagnosed with tonsillitis. 2 Subjects aged 21 years and above. 3 Subjects of both genders,irrespective of their socioeconomic status. 4 Subjects willing to participate and able to provide written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Subjects with complications of tonsillitis like peritonsillar abscess, Tonsilloliths, Parapharyngeal abscess, Intratonsillar abscess, Tonsillar cyst, Cervical abscess, otitits media, Rheumatic fever, Subacute bacterial endocarditis etc 2 Subjects with systemic disorders like hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism etc 3 Pregnant and lactating women are excluded
