Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Asthi Shula which means pain in the bones. Nakhabhanga which indicates brittle and easily breakable nails. Danta Bhanga which refers to weak and loose teeth. Asthi Sparsha Asahyata which means tenderness in bones. Kesha Loma Patana which indicates loss of hair. Post menopausal women and osteoporotic men were included in the study. Subjects in the age group of sixty to eighty years were included. Subjects diagnosed with osteoporosis by Bone Mineral Density test were included. Subjects who gave consent were included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Secondary Bone Loss Causes. Severe nutritional deficiency. Traumatic or surgical bone injury. Patients who have undergone chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Patients having secondary osteoporosis were excluded.
