Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) Group I & II patients having isolated symphysis or parasymphysis mandibular fractures. 2.Age 18-45 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Edentulous Patients. 2.Medically compromised patients. 3.Patients not willing for surgery. 4.Patients not fit to undergo procedure under general anaesthesia. 5.Previous history of irradiation of head and neck area or bone pathology. 6.Patients with multiple mandibular fractures and/or with any additional midface fractures.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome is to evaluate - Operative time, ease of placement of plates, Occlusion stability, Facial asymmetry, Minimum interincisal opening, Deviation of jaw, bite force, Lingual splayingTimepoint: estimate upto 6 months
