Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age 18 to 60 years. Resident or worker in the study area and available for assessment, able to attend a single session. Able to give written informed consent. Willing and able to complete the Stop Bang questionnaire and undergo postural and muscle tests such as craniovertebral angle, acromion to wall distance, and deep neck flexor endurance test. No current use of continuous positive airway pressure or mandibular advancement device. Both sexes and any body mass index.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Prior major cervical or thoracic spine surgery or recent cervical trauma within six months. Known neurological or muscular disorders affecting neck or shoulder posture or muscle function, such as stroke with residual deficits, myopathies, or advanced Parkinson disease. Current acute neck or shoulder pain or injury that limits assessment, such as fracture, recent sprain, or acute inflammatory condition. Recent neck or shoulder interventions within three months that may alter posture, such as botulinum toxin injection or a major physiotherapy program specifically directed at upper cross syndrome. Pregnancy, as postural and sleep related changes may affect the results. Cognitive impairment or psychiatric illness preventing reliable completion of the questionnaire or ability to cooperate. Inability to stand or maintain the required position for postural measurements, such as severe lower limb disability.
