Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing elective and emergency midline laparotomy: All adult patients who undergo midline laparotomy for beingn and malignant pathologies will be included. 2. Patients who provide written informed consent to participate in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Non-midline laparotomy incisions: Patients undergoing surgeries with incisions other than midline will be excluded. 2.Refusal to participate: Any patient who refuses to provide informed consent or participate in the study will be excluded. 3. Wound infections or complications prior to surgery Patients with pre-existing wound infections, peritonitis, or active intra-abdominal sepsis will be excluded. 4. Severe comorbidities Patients with severe comorbidities
