Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder Children accompanied by a parent or primary caregiver. Written informed consent obtained from parent or legal guardian.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children diagnosed with special healthcare needs other than Autism Spectrum Disorder, including intellectual disability, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or other neurodevelopmental disorders. Children requiring emergency or invasive dental procedures. Children currently undergoing dental treatment. Children with acute systemic illness at the time of examination. Children whose parents or caregivers are unwilling to provide informed consent. Children with medical or behavioural conditions that doesn t allow safe participation in routine dental examination.

1. Emotional regulation and engagement assessed using the structured observational checklist 2. Behavioural cooperation assessed using the Venham Child Cooperation Scale (VCCS) 3. Physiological stress response Timepoint: 1. From the baseline till the end of dental examination in 5 minutes 2. From baseline till the end of dental examination in 5 minutes 3. At baseline and immediately after the dental examination in 5 minutes
