Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants eligible for inclusion in the study were individuals with a clinical diagnosis of mild to moderate chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), defined by a forced expiratory volume in one second to forced vital capacity (FEV1 to FVC) ratio of less than 0.7 and an FEV1 value equal to or greater than 50 percent of the predicted value. In addition, participants were classified as Grade 1 or Grade 2 according to the GOLD criteria for COPD. The study included individuals who were in a stable clinical condition, with no reported exacerbations in the preceding eight weeks.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Participants will be excluded from the study if they had undergone pulmonary resection or lobectomy within the past six months, or if they had experienced an acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or required hospitalization due to respiratory distress in the preceding four weeks. Individuals with conditions such as pneumothorax or rib fracture were also excluded. Furthermore, participants with severe cardiac conditions including acute heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, uncontrolled arrhythmias, third-degree atrioventricular block, or chest pain and palpitations of unknown origin were not considered eligible. Those with significant functional or cognitive limitations, as well as individuals with uncontrolled metabolic diseases, were also excluded from the study.
