Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of age group between 18 to 50 years Patients of both the genders Patients with chronic periodontitis according to American Academy of Periodontology(AAP 2017) Patients suffering from controlled Type II Diabetes Mellitus diagnosed according to WHO criteria Type II Diabetes patients diagnosed by diabetologist who are on diet control and oral hypoglycemic agents Duration of diabetes of greater than or equal to 6 months after confirmation of diagnosis Patients with good glycemic control (HbA1c less than 7percent) as per 2026 Standards of Care in Diabetes by ADA

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension and systemic diseases affecting the periodontium Patients with hematologic disorders (coagulopathies) or currently on Anticoagulants Pregnant and lactating patients Patients with deleterious habits (Alcohol and tobacco in any form Patients who have undergone any periodontal therapy (scaling, root planing or surgery in previous six months Patients having history of antibiotic therapy in past 3 to 6 months
