Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children exhibiting positive or definitely positive behavior based to Frankl s behavior rating scale and presenting with bilateral Class II cavities (Dental caries affecting the proximal surfaces of posterior teeth) in primary mandibular first molars, where the lesions are confined to enamel and dentin with the involvement of distal marginal ridge and are associated with intact adjacent teeth and no history of pain or swelling

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with partially erupted or ectopically positioned primary molars, severely destroyed teeth with pulpal involvement, pre-shedding mobility, and those with special healthcare needs were excluded from the study
