Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. patients posted for elective surgery under general anaesthesia and requiring nasotracheal intubation. 2. patients consenting to participate. 3. patients belonging to ASA grade I and II
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Known difficult airway (Mouth opening less than 2.5 cm, Oropharyngeal tumour, Patients that are difficult to mask ventilate (BMI >35kg/m2), History of nasal trauma or basal skull fracture, Mallampati class 3 or 4) 2.History of laryngeal surgery or radiotherapy. 3.Frequent episodes of epistaxis. 4.Bleeding tendency and patients with significant systemic disease.
