Intervention1: Scaling and root planing: Gels applied into periodontal pockets more than 4 mm using syringe/cannula after scaling and root planing, with oral hygiene instructions. Control Intervention

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Systemically healthy patients in the age group 18 60 years of both genders. 2. Patients afflicted with Chronic Periodontitis as per AAP classification 2017. 3. Patients having periodontal pockets with probing depth 4 mm and 7 mm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who consumed tobacco in any form, and Chronic alcoholics. 2. Patients who had undergone periodontal therapy in the last 6 months. 3. Patients who had received antibiotic therapy in the previous 3 months. 4. Patients with any systemic disorder affecting periodontal health. 5. Patients with infectious conditions other than periodontitis. 6. Regular user of mouthwash. 7. Pregnant & lactating women.
