Intervention1: Visual Behaviour Guidance Cards for Oral Hygiene Instruction: Group-II- Children with Down syndrome with mild intellectual disability will be allocated to the visual intervention group

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Only children with Down syndrome having mild intellectual disability will be included, based on available medical or institutional records. Aged 6 14 years Self-motivated guardians. Parents and care providers providing consent to participate in the study. Consent will be obtained from the parents/guardians and accent wherever applicable. Written consent in English and the local language (Kannada/Malayalam).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with Visual impairment. Children with Underlying systemic and metabolic diseases requiring medication. Children with Undergoing specialized treatments, such as orthodontic procedures or wearing dental appliances.

To assess the effectiveness of Visual Behavior Guidance Cards as a visual reinforcement strategy on gingival health among children with Down syndrome. Timepoint: Gingival health of children with Down syndrome at baseline. At 1-month follow-up (t1) At 3-month follow-up (t2) At 6-month final follow-up (t3)
