Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Patients having age between 18 and 60 years of either sex 2 Abdominal obesity ie waist circumference greater than 90 cm in men and greater than 80 cm in women 3 Hyper-triglyceridemia ie s. triglycerides level greater than 150 mg per dl 4. Low level of high density lipoprotein ie S. HDL cholesterol less than 40 mg per dl for men and less than 50 mg per dl for women 5. Elevated blood pressure ie systolic blood pressure 130 139 mmHg and or diastolic blood pressure 85 90 mmHg 6. Impaired fasting glucose ie fasting plasma glucose 100 125 mg per dl 7. Patient on stable anti diabetic medication with FBS 100 125 mg per dl for the past 3 months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients with hypertension stage II and stage III 160 by 100mmHg and 180 by 110mmHg. 2 Patients with known case of type 1, uncontrolled diabetes and with Diabetic Complications. 3 Comorbid diseases like CHD, Endocrine diseases , renal disorders 4 Patient with any medications for dyslipidemia within the period of 4 weeks 5 Systemic illness such as tuberculosis, carcinoma and endocrine disorders like Cushings syndrome, hypothyroidism 6 Patient having the history of myocardial infarction or unstable angina ,congestive cardiac failure 7 History of alcoholism and drug abuse. 8 Patients having major renal or liver disorders 9 Pregnant and lactating mother

a.Changes in BMI and Waist Circumference from baseline, 30th, 60th and 90th day.Timepoint: baseline, 30th, 60th and 90th day.

a. Changes in Body weight, Waist hip ratio, Body fat percentage, Skin Fold Thickness,Visceral fat percentage, resting metabolism (kcal), Blood pressure and FBS from baseline, 30th, 60th and 90th day. b. Changes in SF36 and Clinical Global Impression Scale from baseline, 30th, 60th and 90th day. c. Changes in Prameha purva rupa and Sthoulya rupa from baseline, 30th, 60th and 90th day.Timepoint: baseline, 30th, 60th and 90th day;Changes in Hba1c,Triglycerides, HDL Cholesterol (mg/dl), LDL Cholesterol (mg/dl), Triglycerides (mg/dl), VLDL (mg/dl), Total Cholesterol, Total Cholesterol/HDL Ratio, LDL/HDL Ratio and Trigylceride Glucose Index from baseline and 90th day.Timepoint: baseline and 90th day.
