Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with chronic periodontitis presenting with at least one intrabony defect Probing pocket depth (PPD) greater than or equal to 5 mm and clinical attachment loss (CAL) greater than or equal to 3mm Radiographic evidence of vertical (intrabony) bone defect Systemically healthy individuals Completed Phase I periodontal therapy with acceptable oral hygiene Willing to provide written informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1 Systemic conditions affecting healing ( uncontrolled diabetes, immunocompromised states) 2 History of periodontal surgery at the study site within the last 6 months 3 Use of antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs in the previous 3 months 3 Pregnant or lactating women 4 Smokers or tobacco users 5 Teeth with furcation involvement (Grade II/III) or poor prognosis 6 Presence of endodontic lesions or periapical pathology 7 Poor compliance or inability to attend follow-up visits

| Secondary outcomes include reduction in probing pocket depth (PPD), changes in radiographic bone level (RBL), percentage bone fill, gingival recession (GR), plaque index (PI), gingival index (GI), and postoperative healing outcomes.
