Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To compare the haemodynamic stress response (change in heart rate from baseline to one minute after intubation) in standard group versus TOF based groupTimepoint: Baseline One minute after intubation | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To compare the change in blood pressure from baseline to one minute after intubation between the two groupsTimepoint: Baseline One minute after intubation; To compare the standard time with the time taken for Train of four count to become zero from the administration of the neuromuscular blocking drug (t=0 mins)Timepoint: Three minutes Time taken for TOF count to become zero;To compare the two groups in terms of the CL view at the time of intubation, mean duration of laryngoscopy and intubation.Timepoint: Time of intubation Mean duration of laryngoscopy and intubation; To study the patient variables (age, weight, sex, BMI, comorbidities, temperatute) affecting the TOF count with different neuromuscular blocking agents.Timepoint: Baseline Time taken for TOF count to become zero;To study the incidence of sore throat, coughing, change of voice, after extubation in two groups.Timepoint: After extubation | — |
