Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: NEONATES OF AGE 28 DAYS/ 44 WEEKS PMA

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Neonates with polymicrobial or contaminated isolates. 2. Repeat isolates from the same patient. 3. Neonates with major congenital malformations.

MeasureTime frame
To describe the clinical profile of neonates with Carbapenam Resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE).Timepoint: 4 weeks

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To describe the genotypic spectrum of CRE isolates in neonates To determine the proportion of CRE harboring carbapenamase genes in isolates that are phenotypically susceptible to carbapenems in blood culture. To describe the clinical characteristics & risk factors among the neonates infected with Carbapenamse producing Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) and non carbapenamase producing CRE (non-CP CRE).Timepoint: 4weeks
