Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| validity of ARNE score ( cut off 15.5) in predicting difficult airway in patients with laryngeal pathology , Assessed using sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value.Timepoint: preoperative assessment and during induction of general anaesthesia at the time of laryngoscopy and intubation. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To correlate the grade of difficulty of intubation based on the Arne score with that based on the Intubation Difficult Scale (IDS) score.Timepoint: During endotracheal intubation at induction of general anaesthesia.;To determine any other risk factors for difficult airway in our patient population with laryngeal pathology presenting for elective surgery.Timepoint: During preoperative airway assessment and intraoperative airway management. | — |
