Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
validity of ARNE score ( cut off 15.5) in predicting difficult airway in patients with laryngeal pathology , Assessed using sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value.Timepoint: preoperative assessment and during induction of general anaesthesia at the time of laryngoscopy and intubation.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To correlate the grade of difficulty of intubation based on the Arne score with that based on the Intubation Difficult Scale (IDS) score.Timepoint: During endotracheal intubation at induction of general anaesthesia.;To determine any other risk factors for difficult airway in our patient population with laryngeal pathology presenting for elective surgery.Timepoint: During preoperative airway assessment and intraoperative airway management.
