Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Children age 2 year to 12 year. 2.Children of both sex will be included. 3.Patients from all socio- economic background. 4.Diagnosed with functional constipation according to Rome IV criteria. 5.Patients whose guardians / parents provide written informed consent. 6.Children whose totality of symptoms indicates the prescription of Silicea, Calcarea Carbonica, or Opium, based on homeopathic prescribing principles.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Children younger than 2 years. 2.Presence of acute illness, infection or fever at the time of enrollment. 3.Known organic causes of constipation. (e.g., Hirschsprung s disease, hypothyroidism, celiac disease, spinal cord abnormalities). 4.Neurological or developmental disorders (e.g., cerebral palsy, epilepsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)). 5.Genetic syndromes or chromosomal disorders (e.g., muscular dystrophy, Down syndrome). 6.Patient or parent who is not willing to give consent. 7.Children currently on any other treatment for constipation, including allopathic medications (laxatives, enemas etc.), ayurvedic or herbal medicines.
