|---|---|
| To measure and compare between the groups: The efficacy of CO2 laser assisted inferior turbinate reduction versus Coblation assisted Inferior turbinate reduction using Nasal obstruction symptom evaluation score (NOSE score) Improvement in endoscopic scoring of turbinate size pre and post surgery Timepoint: To measure and compare between the groups: The efficacy of CO2 laser assisted inferior turbinate reduction versus Coblation assisted Inferior turbinate reduction using Nasal obstruction symptom evaluation score (NOSE score) Improvement in endoscopic scoring of turbinate size pre and post surgery at day 7, day 30, and 3 month mark | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To compare post operative pain & recovery by Visual Analog Scale (immediate post operatively, 1 week & 1 month post surgery) for CO2 laser & Coblation assisted turbinectomy respectively Endoscopic evaluation of mucosal healing at 1 month & 3 months postoperatively by assessment of crusting or synechiae formation. Nasal mucociliary clearance rate estimation & comparison in both groups. To measure the inferior turbinate volume on NCCT PNS preoperatively & to determine correlation between NOSE scores & Endoscopic scores. Timepoint: Day 7, day 30 & 3 months | — |
