Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with signs and symptoms of Gouty arthritis 2. Cases with elevated uric acid more than 7 mg/dl .(Gout classification criteria of American College of Rheumatology.) 3. Patients of Both sexes and between 20-70yrs.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with serious associated illnesses and life threatening complications of gout like cardiac complaints, renal failure. 2. Pregnant and lactating women. 3. Immunocompromised individuals.

1.To determine the action of Ledum palustre in modulating PGE-2 production in gouty arthritis through cell line study. 2.To determine individual effectiveness of Ledum palustre and Individualised Homoeopathic Medicines in lowering serum uric acid level and reducing severity of symptoms of gout. Timepoint: Serum uric acid will be checked in 3week interval and Symptom severity assessed using Rheumatology and gout activity score in 3months
