Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals diagnosed with Grade I hypertension, with systolic blood pressure between 140 159 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure between 90 99 mmHg, according to International Society of Hypertension guidelines. Male and female participants aged 45 59 years. Individuals with 6-minute walk distance less than 80% of predicted value. Participants who are willing to participate and provide written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals with a history of smoking, alcohol consumption, or tobacco chewing. Individuals with known metabolic, respiratory, renal, or systemic disorders, such as: Obesity Diabetes mellitus Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) Kidney disorders Anemia Individuals with any neurological or psychiatric conditions affecting participation. Individuals with musculoskeletal or orthopedic conditions affecting walking capacity, such as: Recent lower limb fracture Osteoarthritis of knee Recent lower limb surgery Prolapsed intervertebral disc (PIVD) Inflammatory joint conditions Individuals with spinal or lower limb deformities that affect gait, such as scoliosis, kyphosis, or equinus deformity. Individuals with cardiovascular conditions other than Grade I hypertension that may influence autonomic function or exercise capacity.
