Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients at least 18 years of age. 2. Patients admitted with blunt trauma chest within 48 hours of injury
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Polytraumatized Patients 2. Burn victims 3. Patients with a known history of malignancies 4. Patients with pre-existing chronic lung disease (e.g., COPD, interstitial lung disease, bronchial asthma) 5. Smokers more than 20 pack years 6. Thoracic trauma severity score of zero
