Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patient with any of general symptoms of Amlapitta as mentioned in Ayurvedic texts like Avipaka, Utklesha, Klama, Tikta-Amlodgara, Aruchi, Hrit-Kanthdah, and Gaurava. 2.Patients between the age group of 25- 50 years. 3.Irrespective of gender, caste, religion and socio-economic class. 4.Patients willing to participate.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Associated with any serious gastroenterological disease like Gastric ulcer, Perforated ulcer, Duodenal ulcer, Cancer of any grade of oesophagus, Stricturesof oesophagus, Abdominal Koch s (any surgical condition). 2)Pregnant ladies and lactating mother. 3)Associated with any other serious systemic disease or complication like moderate to severe Diabetic mellitus and insipidus and hypertension, moderate to severe anaemia. 4)Patients on regular acid suppressing drugs unwilling to stop them. 5)Drug induced Amlapitta. 6)Patients restricted to particular Pranayam. 7) Patient not willing to participate in the trial.

1) To study the Amlapitta disease in detail as per Ayurveda Literature. 2) To study the Hyperacidity as per Modern Literature. 3) To review the literature of Sheetali Pranayam and Shruta Sheeta Jala. 4) To study the changes occurring during the course of the treatment.Timepoint: Assessment on day 0th, 15th and 30th days
