Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged between 18 and 65 years of either sex belonging to American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I and II scheduled for elective surgical procedures under general anaesthesia with anticipated difficult airway requiring awake flexible video laryngoscopic nasotracheal intubation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Known hypersensitivity to study drugs 2. History of epistaxis 3. Patients with nasal pathology 4. Pregnant Patients 5. Coagulopathies, bleeding disorders 6. Mental disability/delirium 7. Polytrauma 8. Cardiovascular disease

To compare level of sedation using Ramsay sedation score between groups.Timepoint: ASSESS RAMSAY SEDATION SCORE JUST BEFORE PASSING ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE OVER VOCAL CORDS

1. To compare grading of discomfort, cough severity and intubating conditions between the two groups.Timepoint: AT THE TIME OF INTUBATION;2. To compare hemodynamic parameters (Pulse rate, Blood pressure) and oxygen saturation between two groups. Timepoint: AT TIME OF INTUBATION, 5 MINUTES AFTER INTUBATION;3. To study the adverse effects between two groupsTimepoint: EVERY HOUR THROUGH INTRAOPERATIVE AND POSTOPERATIVE PERIOD UPTO 48 HOURS
