Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who will give consent to participate in the study 2. Patients of either gender, aged 18 to 60 years 3. Patients of ASA grade I or II posted for elective surgery under general anesthesia using i-gel

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with known allergy to local anesthetics used in the study 2.Patients with history of sore throat or cough within 2 weeks before the surgery. 3.Patients with pre-operative hoarseness of voice. 4.Patients with any oral pathology or supraglottic pathology like tumors ORgrowth , stricture, ulceration 5.Presence of risk factors for regurgitation or aspiration like inadequate fasting, hiatus hernia 6.BMI greater than 35 kg per m2 7.Severe cardiac, renal or respiratory dysfunction 8.Pregnant or lactating mothers
