Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Children aged 6â??12 years who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) based on DSM-5 criteria. Caregivers/parents willing to provide informed consent and actively participate in the study. Having fair to poor oral hygiene. Children with mild to moderate autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can tolerate supervised tooth brushing.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: History of receiving antibiotic and /or antiseptic therapy. Use of supplemental plaque control aid over the previous 5 months. Children with severe autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who exhibit extreme resistance to oral care interventions. The presence of severe dental caries, periodontal disease, or oral infections requires immediate treatment. History of allergic reactions to toothbrush materials. Caregivers unable to comply with study protocols or follow-up requirements.
