Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Hospitalized with clinically visible pedal edema which is more than or equal to grade 1. Hemodynamically stable (no ongoing vasopressor requirement). Able to understand and follow physiotherapy instructions (or with caregiver assistance)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Documented DVT or high suspicion of acute DVT. Cellulitis, infected skin or ulceration at measurement sites. Critical limb ischemia or moderate severe peripheral arterial disease (ABI less than 0.5). Severe cardiac failure (NYHA III or IV) where compression contraindicated. Contraindication to IPC or compression stockings (e.g., severe peripheral neuropathy with insensate limb, uncontrolled sepsis). Post-op patients where compression is medically contraindicated per surgical team
