Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare serum levels of inflammatory biomarkers (IL-1, IL-6, and TNF alpha) between patients with lumbar intervertebral disc prolapse (IVDP) and controls without IVDP.Timepoint: Baseline (single time point before initiation of any treatment)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To determine which inflammatory biomarker (IL-1, IL-6, or TNF alpha) shows the highest elevation in patients with lumbar IVDP.Timepoint: Baseline; To assess the association between serum levels of inflammatory biomarkers (IL-1, IL-6, TNF alpha) and severity of radiculopathy in patients with lumbar IVDP.Timepoint: Baseline
