Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Type I or Type II diabetic patients scheduled for elective forearm surgery under Subclavian Perivascular Block with the local anaesthetic 20 ml Inj 0.75% Ropivacaine ASA I or II
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Known allergy to dexamethasone Infection at block site Uncontrolled diabetes Diabetic ketoacidosis Random blood glucose levels more than 300mg/dl HbA1C more than 8.5% Coronary artery disease Chronic steroid use Pregnancy Renal or hepatic failure
