Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Teeth with caries penetrating the entire thickness of the dentine. 2 Pulp exposure is unavoidable (extremely deep caries) after complete excavation in an adult posterior tooth (molar or premolar). The tooth should be responsive to a cold test and electric pulp testing within normal limits. 3 Patient willing to give consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Systemically unhealthy patients 2 There should be no periodontal pocketing and no spontaneous pain emanating from that tooth (for pain, a Numerical Rating Scale 11 [NRS-11] less than 4 score. 3 Teeth with rarefaction on the periapical radiograph.
