Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA Grade I- III Patient undergoing major open abdominal surgry under general anaesthesia along with thoracic epidural analgesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient refusal Severe systemic medical illness (NYHA class III-IV heart failure, previous MI, atrial fibrillation, cerebrovascular disease, chronic kidney disease under hemodialysis) Anaesthesia conditions where thoracic epidural anaesthesia cannot be given along with GA Patients medical conditions- where outcome parameters could not be assessed like language and intellectual disability
