Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA 1 and 2 Posted for elective craniotomy for intracranial brain tumor resection. Able to provide informed and written consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pre existing acid base and electrolyte disturbances Pre existing renal failure Hypersensitivity to study solutions Surgery involving blood loss more than 1.5 litres Surgeries of more than 6 hours duration
