Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 2 Admission expected to last more than 48 hours 3 Baseline serum creatinine available within 7 to 365 days before ICU admission 4 Hemodynamically stable enough for CRT measurement not on 2 vasoactive agents and cold extremities

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patient refuse to participate 2 Pre-existing chronic kidney disease stage 4-5 3 Post surgical 4 Post trauma 5 Patients already on renal replacement therapy at ICU admission 6 Patients with conditions affecting peripheral perfusion measurement like severe peripheral vascular disease Raynaud phenomenon pre-existing limb amputation 7 Inability to obtain informed consent 8 Hypothermia core temperature less than 35C or severe burns affecting measurement site

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the correlation between CRT and RRI in predicting the incidence of AKI within 72 hrs of admissionTimepoint: 0 hour ( on admission ), 24 hour and 72 hour .

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To assess Severity of AKI as per KDIGO criteria ( 72 hours KDIGO stage(0-3). 2. Need for renal replacement therapy 3. ICU length of stayTimepoint: 0 hour ( on admission ), 24 hour and 72 hour .
