Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Subjects aged between 18 and 40 years. Male and female participants. Subjects with Grade 3 tenderness of upper trapezius muscle based on tenderness grading scale. Presence of active myofascial trigger points in upper trapezius identifiable by palpable taut band and spot tenderness. Reproduction of familiar pain on palpation. Decreased cervical side flexion range of motion on the affected side. Willingness to participate and provide written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: History of cervical spine fracture, tumor, infection, or inflammatory disorder. Cervical radiculopathy or neurological deficit. Recent trauma or surgery to neck or shoulder region within last 6 months. Fibromyalgia or systemic musculoskeletal disorders. Current use of muscle relaxants or analgesics affecting pain perception. Skin infection, wound, or dermatological condition over upper trapezius region. Pregnancy. Previous physiotherapy treatment for upper trapezius trigger points within last 4 weeks.
